IN BRIEF: Power progress.

IAN POWER was the subject of a positive report from the Turf Club's Dr Walter Halley yesterday. Power was admitted to the intensive care unit of Waterford Regional Hospital with head injuries following his fall at Tramore on Friday, but is making steady progress.

Halley said: "The news is good. Ian has been moved out of intensive care and has regained consciousness.

"He will require full neurological investigation before a decision is made on when he's ready to resume riding."
