IN BRIEF: Cycling.

BROTTON rider Andy Conn has vowed to make amends for a disappointing European Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships in next year's event.

The 42-year-old's best individual result in Lithuania was 45th and he captained Great Britain to 13th in the team relay.

"I was looking to equal my personal best of 18th from last year," he said. "But rather than beat myself up about it I will try and put right where I went wrong and have another go in Israel next August."
