Impulse Point, Tampa, Fla., an endpoint security policy management solution provider for higher education, and OPSWAT, Inc., a leading provider of endpoint security competency tools, have signed a multi-year technology partnership wherein Impulse Point will incorporate OPSWAT's anti-virus, anti- spyware, and firewall endpoint security technology into Impulse's Safe.Connect policy management solution.

The partnership will enhance Impulse Point's ability to enforce end user anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall security policies exercised by universities and colleges across the nation.

"Higher education institutions demand an endpoint security solution that can remain up-to-date with the ever growing diversity of end user devices," explained David Robinson, CEO of Impulse Point. "Our partnership with OPSWAT ensures that our valued clients will continue to receive the industry's broadest and most advanced endpoint security management functionality available."

Impulse's Safe.Connect will leverage anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall modules of the OPSWAT Endpoint Security Integration SDK-the industry standard for endpoint security compliancy.

"The ability to secure both wired and wireless networks is an increasingly important challenge," said Benny Czarny, OPSWAT's founder and CEO. "The combination of OPSWAT and the Impulse policy management solution now gives institutions of higher education better control over the multitude of unmanaged computing devices within their residential dorms and campus networks."

"OPSWAT's Endpoint Security SDK provides security technology vendors and integrators with cost-effective means of developing a single management interface that supports the diverse mix of anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall applications used by their end-customers. The SDK has also been successfully used by corporate customers to develop internal endpoint security management solutions and is deployed by more than 2 million users," said Tom Mullen, OPSWAT's Business Development Manager.
