IMF CHIEF 'HAD ORGY WITH 8 PROSTITUTES' Disgraced economist denies pimp charges at sex trial.

Byline: DON MACKAY

A CALL girl has told of her disgust at seeing one of the world's most powerful economists having group sex with eight prostitutes.

Sandrine Vandenschrik's account of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's Paris hotel orgy is part of prosecution evidence accusing the disgraced International Monetary Fund chief of "aggravated pimping".

"I was shocked, I didn't want to get involved in this carnage," the escort said in a police interview.

Other witnesses at the orgies described "carnage with a heap of mattresses on the floor" and Mr Strauss-Kahn at the height of "pure sexual consummation", with women all over his writhing body.

Appearing with 13 others yesterday in Lille, Strauss-Kahn, 65, pleaded not guilty to charges of helping to arrange sex parties in the northern French city's Carlton Hotel.

Strauss-Kahn could face 10 years in prison and a PS1million plus fine if convicted.

Ms Vandenschrik and other women also say he held sex parties close to the IMF offices in Washington DC.

But he has denied knowing that any of the girls were prostitutes - saying it was impossible to tell what they did for a living with their clothes off. But a furious Ms Vandenschrik is said to have told police: "He really wants us to believe he's naive and takes us for idiots?" The "L'affaire Carlton" began with police enquiries into a notorious pimp who owns a string of illegal brothels near the French border with Belgium.

Dominique Alderweireld, nicknamed Dodo la Saumure, slang for pimp, is said to have set up the Carlton ring which pimped out high-priced call girls for politicians, police chiefs and captains of industry between 2008 and 2011.

Once tipped as a French president, Strauss-Kahn's downfall began in 2011 when chambermaid Nafissatou Diallo accused him of attempting to rape her at a New York hotel.

The criminal charges were dropped and the case settled in a civil suit, but DSK - as he is known - soon lost his IMF job as one of the world's top financial rulers, as well as his "power marriage" to French journalist and heiress Anne Sinclair.

But defence lawyers flatly denied the charges when he appeared in court yesterday, claiming he never made a secret of his liking for sex parties - insisting he was unaware the women were call girls.
