IMCO RECYCLING CONCLUDES NEW LABOR AGREEMENT IRVING, Texas, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- IMCO Recycling Inc.
(NYSE: IMR) today announced that it has concluded a new three-year labor agreement with the United Steelworkers of America, Local 9147, which represents the bargaining unit employees at the company's Rockwood, Tenn. plant.
Terms of the agreement, which became effective Aug. 25, were not disclosed. Ralph L. Cheek, IMCO Recycling's chairman and chief executive officer, said, "We are pleased with the successful negotiation of this new contract for our Rockwood facility." IMCO Recycling Inc. is the largest independent recycler of aluminum beverage cans, scrap and dross in the U.S. and it also recycles magnesium and zinc. The company is an important part of the growing resource recovery industry and is the only publicly owned firm whose activities are concentrated in the aluminum recycling market.
