ILO Regional Director calls for considering needs of Labor markets in making education policies.

Khartoum, May 9 (SUNA) - Africa Regional Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Charles Dan called on the Organization of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) to participate effectively in making policies that assert the rights of the workers and make available working opportunities for YouthDan addressed Monday the inaugural sitting of a Workshop on recruitment of Youth, Democracy and Good Governance in Africa, held Monday at the Friendship Hall by the OATUU in collaboration with Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation and the International Labor Organization, calling on African countries to consider the human cadres needs for labor markets when making their education policesHe explained that 2.2 million of Youth in Africa enter the labor market annually and declared that if the percent of unemployment in Africa and the Middle East continue in this way then it would be the highest percentage everDan explained that movement toward freedom and Democracy in Africa was an indicator of Youth awareness and ability to make the future for its benefit and the benefit of the coming generation. Charles Dan explained that the African Labor Organization will be ready for all challenges and issues of Youth, Freedom and Democracy besides unemployment and basic needs of all the sectors of the SocietyThe Regional Director for Africa of the International Labor Organization Dan expressed his gratitude to the Government of Sudan, the Federation of the Sudanese Workers Trade Unions over hosting the meeting of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity in KhartoumMF /MABack //
