ILFC ORDERS EVEN MORE BOEING JETLINERS

SEATTLE, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing Commercial Airplane Group today announced that International Lease Finance Corp. has ordered seven more new jetliners valued at about $525 million.
Today's order includes one 747-400, five 757-200s and one 767-300 extended range model. Deliveries will begin in 1995.
Los Angeles-based ILFC is a world-leading lessor and financier of jet transports and has been a Boeing customer since 1977. The company has ordered all of the Boeing jetliner types in production today, including the all-new 777 wide-body twinjet.
This announcement brings to 300 the total number of new jetliners ILFC has ordered from Boeing, ranking ILFC as Boeing's fourth largest aircraft customer.
Of the total number ordered, ILFC has taken delivery of 160 new Boeing jetliners to date, including 32 in 1993. Deliveries to the company are scheduled to increase to 38 new jetliners in 1994, meaning ILFC will take delivery of more Boeing aircraft than any other customer during the coming calendar year.
"At a time when aircraft production rates have declined, it's refreshing to see a customer increase its deliveries," said Richard Albrecht, executive vice president of Boeing Commercial Airplane Group.
"ILFC always has a good perspective on the aviation industry and this order reflects long-term confidence. There's no doubt ILFC will be a key player in helping restore the industry's health."
During 1993 to date, Boeing has announced orders for 233 aircraft valued at about $14.6 billion. The breakdown by model is 107 737s, two 747s, 40 757s, 66 767s and 18 777s.
