IKK Group excels in specialised service.

THE Issam Khairi Kabbani Group of Companies (IKK Group) is a diversified group of companies operating in the fields of trading, manufacturing and contracting with a strong footprint in the specialised construction sector, in particular for the oil and gas industry.

Over the past ten years, the group has been consistently recognised as one of the top 40 companies in Saudi Arabia.

The group was set up in 1969 when the 'Nepro' factory for PVC pipes was established, the first of its kind in the Middle East then. In 1970, the 'National Marketing Establishment' was created with the aim of promoting Nepro products, in addition to importing fittings and accessories. This company flourished into a multi-disciplinary group serving the markets of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf since almost four decades.

The group comprises 60 companies, operates through over 200 divisions, and is spread across 16 countries with over 12,000 employees.

Today, the group is a pioneer in specialised construction services such as but not limited to: waterproofing, weather proofing, building material supplies, construction steel products, sales of UPVC, CPVC and high density polyethylene pipes and fittings, sanitary products.

Kabbani Construction Group, known as KCG, is the IKK Group's contracting arm. Established in 1977, it evolved to become one of the largest specialised contractors. KCG has been serving Saudi Aramco and other clients such as Sceco, Sabic, Adnoc in addition to other governmental and private companies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon.

In response to increased demand for specialised oil and gas companies, KCG's Specialised oil and gas engineering company (Sogec) was incorporated in 1987. Sogec's main activities and services are: Cathodic protection systems for pipe lines, tanks, offshore structure; AC interference and mitigation; non destructive testing including radiography testing, ultrasonic examination, liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, tank and floor mapping; post weld heat treatment and pre-heating, normalising, solution heat treatment, refractory dry out, paint curing, hardness testing, calibration services, internal firing and furnace firing services; coating, welding inspection and supply of QA/QC inspectors; survey, design, manufacture, supply, install, testing and commissioning of online waste water and chlorine analysers; and bulk plant up-grading and maintenance.

KCG has performed and executed most of the above services for major projects in the oil and gas fields in Saudi Arabia and other countries, including many Saudi Aramco plants. The following are some of the projects KCG has been involved with Saudi Aramco: * Hawiyah gas plant: Provision of hot services insulation and cladding for pipes and equipments; * Khursaniyah gas plant: Provision of 'non-destructive testing','post weld heat treatment and insulation' and fireproofing for vessels and other steel structures. * Saudi Aramco PetroRabigh: Provision of radiographic testing services, ultrasonic testing services, magnetic particle inspection services, vacuum box testing services, preheating services, and post weld heat treatment services, hot services insulation and cladding for pipes and equipment. * Saudi Aramco Khurais: Provision of cathodic protection system survey and design for oil and water wells including flow lines and trunk lines, in addition to the fireproofing for vessels and steel structures. * Al-Khafji onshore production facilities (KFDP): Provision of cathodic protection system, testing and commissioning for gathering station; hot services insulation and cladding for pipes and equipment. * Al-Bayroni ammonia plant upgrade in Jubail: Provision of support services for a new auxiliary boiler and reformer convection. * Riyadh refinery (Saudi Aramco): Provision of the supply and installation of UPS system, installation of ducts for HVAC, testing of AHU and ACCU, testing and commissioning, switchgear replacement, installation of cable ladders, cable pulling and installation of lighting.
