IHC rejects plea for issuing stay order on decision against capital's Mayor.

Islamabad -- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the plea for issuing stay order against the decision of single bench in the case of appointment of mayor Islamabad as chairman CDA and ordered for issuing notices to the parties concerned

A division bench of IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took up for hearing petition filed by Sheikh Ansar Aziz chairman CDA against IHC single bench December 29, 2017 decision.

Advocate Aslam appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner and took the plea that working of Mayor Islamabad as chairman CDA is in conformity with the law and constitution. Court should order for suspending single bench decision and issue stay order against single bench decision till the hearing of the case, he prayed. The court rejected the plea for issuing stay order and ordered for issuing notices to the parties concerned. The hearing of the case was adjourned for one week.
