IHC issues notices in case against appointment of Tariq Bajwa governor SBP.
Islamabad -- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices again to the parties concerned on a petition filed against the appointment of governor State Bank (SB) Tariq Bajwa.
A single bench of IHC presided over b y Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb took up the case for hearing Wednesday.
Latif Khosa advocate appeared on behalf of petitioners and prayed the court that the case is of important nature therefore, it should be heard on priority basis. The appointment of Tariq Bajwa has been made against the rules.
The court accepted the plea.
It is pertinent to mention here that court had issued notices to secretary finance and governor state bank on previous hearing. But the respondent have not filed reply today.
23 senators of PPP including senator Taj Haider had filed petition challenging appointment of Tariq Bajwa.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 21.
