IGT ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL PROMOTIONS

 RENO, Nev., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), the world's largest gaming machine manufacturer, has promoted Scott Shackelton to the position of corporate controller of the parent company of IGT-North America and IGT-International. IGT also promoted Rich Pennington to controller for IGT-North America.
 Shackelton, who assumes his new duties immediately, is the former controller of IGT-North America. In his new position, he will direct the accounting activities for IGT's parent company, as well as coordinate accounting policy for all of the subsidiary operations. Shackelton, a certified public accountant with a master's degree in business from the University of Southern California, has been with IGT for more than 12 years.
 Pennington, who was previously the manager of inventory and cost accounting for IGT, will now be responsible for all accounting activities for IGT-North America.
 Shackelton and Pennington will be based in Reno.
