IGS, Inc. announced today its involvement on multiple TeleManagement Forum's (TMF) Plug and Play Catalyst Projects. IGS' eJai Integration Solutions (eJai)(TM), a suite of middleware-independent transformation tools, is incorporated in four of the six TMF Plug and Play Catalyst projects to be demonstrated at TeleManagement World, Nov. 14 -16 in Chicago, IL.

Within the Catalyst Showcase, Systems Integrators Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, American Management Systems (AMS), Hewlett-Packard Consulting and Dimension Data have utilized eJai to manage the transformation rules across webMethods Enterprise, Vitria, and Tibco messaging products, as well as HP and Vitria's workflow products.

TMF Plug and Play Catalyst projects bring together system integrators, software and hardware vendors to test new approaches for speeding and enhancing the integration of communication operation support systems. "TeleManagement Forum Plug and Play Catalyst projects offer service providers a chance to see the evolution of integration architectures in a live environment," said IGS' Dave Appel, Vice President and General Manager, Integration Solutions. "Working together with our partners, we remove many of the obstacles in making integrated solution decisions."

IGS takes a unique approach to integration by leveraging middleware and common object models to decouple applications from pairwise point-to-point connections, enabling a defined methodology and reusable components. The state of the integration practice finds many system integrators and middleware vendors frantically working with OSS ISVs to develop adapters or connectors to evolving OSS APIs. This continued evolution impacts the middle of the integration architecture where application's must not only receive but also understand the content of the messages. As APIs change with each vendor's release, an enormous strain on maintaining the semantics of the conversation is created. IGS' technology and experience specializes in solving this discontinuity.

"IGS' eJai is facilitating the use of shared information models across many Plug and Play Catalyst projects," says David Gold, Catalyst Program Technical Lead. "eJai is inter-operating across multiple middleware platforms, providing transformation services supporting these OSS integration demonstrations."
