IG Motorway Police visits DIG N-5 North Zone office.

RAWALPINDI, April 22, 2011 (Balochistan Times): Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police, Zafarullah Khan on Thursday called upon the police officers to ensure help for the road users and continue campaign to bridge gap between police and people. He made these remarks during his visit to DIG Office N-5 North Zone. DIG, Abbas Hussain Malik, SSP Saeed Wazir, SSP Ali Ahmad Sabir Kayani, SSP Farooq Azam and officers of N-5 North Zone were present. DIG North Abbass Malik welcomed the new Inspector General Motorway Police and briefed him on all the operational matters and also informed about the last five years performance. The officers of Mobile Education Unit, N-5 North Zone also apprised the Inspector General of the road safety education. The IG also directed to deploy special squad on highways and motorways to check the crime and also asked the motorways and highways police to maintain close contact with the local police in this regard. Zafarullah Khan further said that steps will be taken on priority basis for the welfare of retired and shaheed officials of motorway police.
