 IFG NAMES ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENTS: MADSON, MORTON
 MINNEAPOLIS, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Inter-Regional Financial Group,


Inc. (NYSE: IFG), parent company of regional broker-dealers Dain Bosworth Incorporated, Minneapolis, and Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Inc., Dallas, today announced that Scott Madson and Peter Morton have been promoted to assistant vice presidents. Madson will continue his responsibility as director of financial reporting, a position he has held since 1989. Morton will continue as a senior financial analyst, a position he has held since 1990.
 Prior to joining IFG in 1987, Madson worked in the Minneapolis office of Deloitte Haskins and Sells. A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Minnesota in 1983. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
 Prior to joining IFG in 1990, Morton was a trust officer with First Trust of First Bank System in Minneapolis. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1984 and will receive his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in June of this year. Currently, he is a President's Club member of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
