Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) (STO:ENG), a free school operator in Sweden, announced on Tuesday the signing of a rental agreement with Famera Fastigheter AB for a new school to be constructed in Norrtalje.
This school is scheduled to open at the start of the 2023/2024 academic year.
According to the company, IES Norrtalje is planned to be a school with two parallel classes for grades F-9 for a total of 600 students when completed. A schoolyard as well as a new sports facility will also be built adjacent to the school, which is centrally located with good transport links.
Provided all the necessary permits are obtained, the queue for IES Norrtalje will open on 1 February 2022.
This contract is conditional on being granted a building permit and a permit from the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, IES added.
