IEC ELECTRONICS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF PUBLIC OFFERING

 NEWARK, N.Y., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- IEC Electronics Corporation (NASDAQ/NMS: IECE) announced today the completion of its initial public offering of 2,500,000 shares of common stock at a price of $13 per share. The shares were offered by a syndicate managed by Needham & Company, Inc., and Tucker Anthony Incorporated. They have been approved for quotation on the NASDAQ Automated Quotation National Market System under the symbol "IECE." The company has granted the underwriters a 30 day option to purchase up to an additional 375,000 shares to cover over- allotments.
 IEC is a leading independent contract manufacturer of complex printed circuit board assemblies and electronic products and systems with manufacturing facilities in Newark, N.Y. and Edinburg, Texas.
 The net proceeds to the company will be used to repay its indebtedness and for general corporate purposes including working capital and possible acquisitions.
