IDS Intelligent Detection Systems' Analytical and Security Divisions Sold.

Ottawa, Canada 5/30/01--Control Screening LP has purchased the Analytical and Security Division of IDS Intelligent Detection Systems through IDS subsidiary Scintrex Trace. The division manufactures detection systems for narcotics and explosives. Control Screening did not purchase IDS stock, other IDS divisions or Scintrex Limited. Control Screening makes X-ray scanners and metal detection systems.

* IDS was recently delisted from the Canadian stock exchange as its and Scintrex' different businesses are sold off. This sale will help Control Screening consolidate its position in the security detection market.
