IDC HOLDINGS' INDIAN ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS, INC. SIGNS CANADIAN GAMING DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS -- EXPANDS EXISTING SASKATCHEWAN CASINO

 MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Indian Entertainment Systems, Inc. (IES), a wholly owned subsidiary of IDC Holdings, Ltd., announced today that it has secured five-year, renewable contracts for the development, construction and operation of two new casino developments in British Columbia. Both projects will employ the fast track, integrated development system developed jointly by IES and IDC.
 The contract for the Beecher Bay Casino and Resort is with the SCIA'NEW Nation, commonly referred to as the Beecher Bay Band. The gaming facility will be located on the band's 700-acre reserve, 15 miles south of Victoria, British Columbia. Phase I development and planning will begin immediately, with full operational status expected in early 1994.
 The second project, near Vancouver, will be completed in two phases with expected operational status during the first quarter 1994. Additional details will be announced as they become available.
 Alan R. King, chief executive officer of IES, stated, "These contracts represent IES's long-term commitment to First Nation self- government and self-determination throughout Canada."
 Pat Chips, chief of the Beecher Bay Band, stated, "Beecher Bay Band is enthusiastic over the long-range economic benefits of this project." She added, "We're pleased that IES shares our vision of self- governance."
 Gene Nelson, IDC's president and director of gaming operations, stated, "These contracts represent the beginning of an aggressive and comprehensive effort by IES in the Canadian provinces." He added, "Our unique integrated development system automates and centralizes all phases of development, construction, and operations and gives us a significant advantage in the undeveloped Canadian gaming market." John I. Priscella, chairman and CEO of IDC, added, "We are delighted with the highly successful efforts of Alan King and Craig Cottrell and the key roles they played in securing these opportunities."
 In addition, the company reported completion of the Phase I expansion of its existing Bear Claw Casino at Carlyle, Saskatchewan and continued progress in negotiations to expand operations.
