IDB COMMUNICATIONS REPORTS OCTOBER INCREASES IN INTERNATIONAL LONG DISTANCE MINUTES

 LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- IDB Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ: IDBX) today reported strong sequential and annual minute growth during October in its international public-switched long distance telephone unit, IDB WORLDCOM. The results reflect the combined minutes growth of IDB WORLDCOM and TRT Communications Inc., acquired by IDB in September 1993.
 According to Edward R. Cheramy, IDB president, "In October, IDB WORLDCOM recorded an annualized run-rate of 245 million minutes of international long distance traffic, up 7.5 percent from September 1993 and 115 percent over the annualized run-rate posted in October 1992."
 Cheramy continued, "The October run-rate of 245 million minutes includes 54 million minutes of inbound international traffic, a return traffic ratio of 28 percent."
