ICT EUROPE ANNOUNCES DMX LAUNCH IN NORWAY

OSLO, Norway, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning Nov. 1, 1993, over 125,000 residents currently served by Oslo cable operator Norkabel A/S, Norway's second-largest cable operator, will be able to receive the revolutionary music service, Digital Music Express(R) (DMX).
Lars Anderson, managing director of Norkabel A/S, commented, "We are delighted to be the first distributor of the DMX service in Norway. This is a rapidly growing service with enormous potential."
DMX, Europe's first premium digital cable music service, provides 30 different channels of uninterrupted CD quality music from opera to jazz and country, 24 hours a day via cable directly to businesses and residences. The service is transmitted by cable to the subscriber's stereo system via a digital tuner. Using the DMX-DJ(R) remote, which is a full feature remote control, the subscriber can gain access to information about each track including song title, artist's name, album and more.
DMX will cost Norkabel A/S subscribers 120 kroner per month, a price which includes the service, the tuner, and a DMX-DJ remote.
Lance Thomas, managing director of International Cablecasting Technologies Inc. (ICT) Europe, the European subsidiary of Los Angeles- based ICT, commented, "It is a tremendous achievement to be gaining such a wide distribution of DMX across Europe. This agreement with Norkabel A/S means that Norway is the third European country within six months to distribute the service, an encouraging start for our operation in Europe."
The system will be demonstrated at the European Cable Communications 1993 show at Olympia, London, where DMX will announce details of its European marketing campaign.
ICT Europe is owned by U.S.-based companies, ICT(R) (NASDAQ: TUNE) and Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI). ICT provides digital audio programming for the U.S. cable, residential and commercial markets.
