ICP lifted overall trophy of BISE Peshawar Inter-College Boys Games.

PESHAWAR -- Islamia College Peshawar lifted the trophy by securing 46 points while Government College Peshawar won overall athletic trophy of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar Inter-College Boys Games concluded here on Friday.

ICP college got first position trophies in basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, hockey, volleyball, cricket, squash, cross country while got runners-up trophy of Lawn Tennis and athletics.

It was in the 50-year history that Islamia College Peshawar lost the trophy of the athletic, which won by Government College Peshawar for the first time with Sami Ullah, national athlete, was declared best athlete

who got 25 points. Sami Ullah won the gold medal in 100m, 200m, long jump, and javelin throw.

Sami Ullah was also declared as the fastest athlete of the Meet when he won the 100m sprint race wherein Jawad Khan of Government College Peshawar won silver medal and Nouman of ICP bronze medal.

In the 200m Sami Ullah won gold medal, followed by Nouman of ICP and Jawad of GCP, in the Discus throw Muhammad Rafique of Tangai college won gold medal, followed by Sami Ullah of GCP and Shahrukh of ICP, in shot put Zohaib of Budhber College got gold medal, followed by Sami Ullah of GCP and Ahmad Ali of GCP, in javelin throw Shah Rukh of ICP, Mohammad ICP and Sami Ullah of GCP, in the 800m Junaid of GCP, Nouman of GCP and Mohib of ICP got gold, silver and bronze medals.

In the 1500m Nouman of ICP won gold medal, Junaid took silver medal and Waseem of ICP won bronze medal, in high jump Mohiz of ICP won gold medal, followed by Mohib of ICP and Haroon of GCP, in the 400m Sami Ullah won gold medal, followed by Jawad Khan and Ahmad Naeem of Agriculture University School and College.

In 5000m Nouman of ICP won gold medal, Waseem of ICP and Junaid of GCP won silver and bronze medal respectively. In the long jump Sami Ullah of ICP won gold medal, followed by Sultan of GCP and Imran of Tangai. In the 4X100 relay and 4X400m relay GCP won gold medal, ICP won silver medal and AUPS & College got bronze medal. Overall GCP got 58 points, followed by Islamia College Peshawar with 51 points and AUPS and College got 10 points.

At the end, the chief guest Secretary BISE Hakim Ullah Khan gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winners and other position holders.

Director Sports Manzar Khan, officials and players were also present on this occasion.
