ICC to deliver judgement on Saif Gaddafi case next week.

BRUSSELS, May 16 (KUNA) -- The Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Friday announced it has scheduled a hearing next Wednesday, 21 May, to deliver judgment on admissibility of a case against Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, son of late Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi.

Saif Al-Islam is charged with two counts of crimes against humanity, murder and persecution, allegedly committed across Libya from 15 until at least 28 February 2011, said the Hague-based ICC in a statement.

On 31 May 2013, the ICC rejected Libya's challenge to the admissibility of the case against Saif Al Islam and reminded Libya of its obligation to surrender the suspect to the court in the Hague.

The government of Libya appealed the decision on 7 June 2013. (end)
