ICAP organizes CA Pakistan Olympiad.
KARACHI -- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) organized CA Pakistan Olympiad.
An official said Friday that the event was for the students of Intermediate (FSc, FA, ICS and ICOM) all across Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi at their respective ICAP Houses to showcase professionalism, knowledge, concrete decision making and aptitude of intermediate students.
This provided a distinctive platform to students to exhibit their potential and celebrate competence with a large audience.
The competition was contested among teams included Kinnaird College for Women, Central Group of College, Lahore College for Women University, Govt. College University, The Punjab Group of colleges, TIPS college of commerce, Unique Group of Colleges, Superior Group of Colleges, AL Dars Academy, Bahria Foundation College Gulshan, St. Patricks College, Al Hamd College, DA Degree College for Women, CAMS College, Bahria College, COMMECS College, Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Sir Adamjee Institute, Grafton College Chak Shahzad and Islamabad Model college.
Mohammad Maqbool (FCA) in Lahore, Sajjad Hussain Gill (FCA) in Islamabad and Feroz Rizvi, Secretary and Chief Operation Officer ICAP in Karachi attended the event with their presence as chief guests and encouraged the participants by distributing certificates, trophies and cash prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 to the top three Teams at each station.
Chief Guests appreciated all competing teams and congratulated the winners. They further stated that ICAP is achieving new milestones through this distinguished initiative.
The thrilling competition was held in two stages and the exhilarating format of the event kept the participants on the edge of their seats throughout the day.
Government College University stood first while Central Group of Colleges and Punjab Group of Colleges were first and second runner ups respectively at Lahore station.
Punjab Group of Colleges, Ayub Park Campus was victorious whereas,
Islamabad Model College for Boys and Islamabad Model College for Girls were1st and 2nd runner up respectively at Islamabad station. Defence Authority Degree College for Women stood, 1st and 2nd runner-up positions were secured by Bahria College and St. Patricks College respectively at Karachi station.
