IBM has announced that it is now offering the Brocade Enterprise Fabric Operating System from Brocade Communications Systems Inc, a storage area network infrastructure provider.

The new product improves over older versions through the addition of fabric-based security, simplified management and high availability, according to the company. A spokesperson said that the Brocade Enterprise Fabric Operating System is designed to let IT administrators protect corporate data while also simplifying the management of their Brocade environments.

The financial terms of the agreement and the cost of the solution were not disclosed.
