IBM VICE PRESIDENT EDWARD J. KFOURY TO RETIRE

 ARMONK, N.Y., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward J. Kfoury, IBM vice president and president, Industrial Sector Division, will retire from IBM effective May 31 after 30 years of service.
 IBM Chairman John F. Akers said, "Ed Kfoury has held key roles in marketing and manufacturing and development. He was responsible for the introduction of IBM's first color display products and was instrumental in the development of the IBM PS/2 family. He retires with our best wishes."
 Mr. Kfoury joined IBM in Boston in 1963. After a series of marketing, product management and planning positions, he was named vice president, display products, in 1981. He served as a vice president in IBM's Asia-Pacific headquarters in Tokyo from 1983 to 1985, with responsibility for manufacturing and development. Following this assignment, Mr. Kfoury led the PS/2 development effort as vice president, development, within the Entry Systems Division. Mr. Kfoury was named president, System Products Division, in 1988 and was elected an IBM vice president later that year. He was named to his current position in 1989.
