WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The IBM Personal Software Products (PSP) division today announced the appointment of two veteran industry executives to new posts in PSP, to help guide future growth as the organization expands to meet new business opportunities.
Joining PSP are William K. Rich as general manager, worldwide sales & marketing, and David R. Proctor as vice president of products.
"PSP is gaining two highly knowledgeable, senior executives, with experience both inside and outside IBM, who will assist PSP as we continue to expand and rollout new products," said Lee Reiswig, president of PSP. "We are pleased to welcome them aboard."
In related announcements, IBM Fellow Larry K. Loucks was named vice president, software architecture, and Clifford J. Reeves of IBM was named program director of objects.
Rich has held a variety of marketing and management positions at IBM, including vice president of systems and displays, and IBM vice president and president of the Services Sector Division. He was most recently a consultant to IBM.
At PSP, Rich will be responsible for worldwide sales and marketing. He also will provide business guidance to David McAughtry, newly appointed director of PSP Europe. "These new positions will allow us to increase our focus on integrating our marketing and development activities around the world and to truly make PSP one of the top global software businesses," Reiswig said.
