 IBM AND UNITED WAY OF SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA
 AWARD COMPUTER GRANTS TO AGENCIES
 PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- IBM Corporation, Delaware Valley and United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania have awarded 19 computers and support equipment packages to 10 local human service agencies to increase their capacity to provide community-wide services.
 IBM (NYSE: IBM) donated the computer equipment valued at $90,000.
 Grant recipients will receive IBM Personal Systems with hard and diskette drives, color display monitors, Jet or Laser printers along with Microsoft MS-DOS operating software.
 The recipient agencies and their projects are: Accion Comunal Latino Americana de Montgomery County (ACLAMO) to build computer and language skills for low-income Latino children; American Cancer Society to develop a comprehensive directory of children with cancer; Arthritis Foundation to track children with arthritis; Congreso de Latinos Unidos to provide computer training for Latino youth and adults; and YWCA of Germantown to develop a science, math and technology program for girls ages 8 to 16.
 Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Montgomery County, and Big Brother/Big Sister Association of Philadelphia will use their computers for networking databases of volunteers and clients between branch offices. Philadelphia Council for Community Advancement; Delaware County Literacy Council and Woodrock, Inc., will use their computers for database management and producing newsletters and reports in-house.
 A breakfast reception recognizing recipient agencies will be held 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at IBM Corporation, 1 Commerce Square, 2005 Market St., Philadelphia.
