IASIS Healthcare Hires Senior Vice President Of Business Development.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- IASIS Healthcare[R] LLC ("IASIS") today named James "Jay" Hoffman as its senior vice president of business development, effective immediately.

Hoffman will oversee all activities related to mergers, acquisitions, divestures and other development transactions involving the 16-facility hospital company. He will report to IASIS President Carl Whitmer.

"Jay's knowledge of the healthcare industry and experience with a variety of transactions will be a tremendous asset as we execute our growth strategies," said Whitmer. "We are pleased with Jay's decision to join our team and look forward to his involvement with growing the company."

Hoffman has more than 28 years of healthcare development experience. Prior to joining IASIS, he served in similar roles for two other hospital companies - most recently as the senior vice president of development for Signature Hospital Corporation, headquartered in Houston, Texas, and previously as the vice president of acquisitions and divestures for Hospital Corporation of America, which operates 163 hospitals and 105 freestanding surgery centers. Hoffman also has experience as a general partner with three venture capital funds, where he managed and directed numerous healthcare investments and transactions.

Hoffman earned a master of business administration in finance from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of arts in economics from Swarthmore College.
