IAEa[euro](tm)s V2533 engines selected by American Airlines to power new fleet.

International Aero Engines (IAE) announced on Monday the signing of an agreement to provide American Airlines' future fleet of new Airbus A321 aircraft with its V2533-A5 engines.

The financial details and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In July 2011, American had placed a fleet order for 130 current-generation A320 family aircraft. American expects to take delivery of the A321 aircraft between 2013 and 2017.

IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium consisting of shareholders Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX), Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR.L), Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
