IAA President Receives the Work Team of Programme, "Good Morning Bahrain".

Manama, November 20th (BNA) --President of Information Affairs Authority (IAA), Shaikh Fawaz Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received this morning the work team of the radio programme, "Good Morning Bahrain," in the presence of the Director, Latifa Bumtai'a and the broadcasters, Istiqlal Ahmed and Ali Hussain.

Shaikh Fawaz thanked and appreciated the efforts of the personnel in charge of the programme, where they address the vital and current issues with the relevant authorities, especially with regard to the development of government services and improving the standard of living.

Shaikh Fawaz asserted that the service of citizens, caring for their interests, and discussing their issues and life problems are considered a priority for the radio and television programmes presented by the IAA, which aim at serving the public interests, and developing the wise government's achievements in the light of the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Shaikh Fawaz urged the radio programme presenters to provide more opportunities for the largest number of listeners to freely and transparently express their views and let them introduce their problems, complaints and suggestions, and deliver them to the relative officials, as well as following them with the competent authorities. This is considered a reinforcement of the governmental performance, and developing the services provided to citizens in the fields of health, education, housing, municipalities and labour.

The IAA President highlighted that the discussion of national issues in the framework of transparency, objectivity and responsibility is a fundamental pillar in the media strategy for Information Affairs Authority, and is also the consolidated principles in the Charter of Honour for the visual and audio media.

Shaikh Fawaz pointed out the keenness of the Authority for the directives of the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, to develop the media message, either in form or substance, to keep pace with the march of the achievements gained during the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.
