I was punched by America's first supermodel; The Insider.
Filming in Liverpool for a Living TV documentary with WAG Abbey Clancy, the volatile first-ever supermodel decided to deliver a little rough justice - and a Rocky-style jab.
And it was a metquartershop assistant who found herself on the receiving end.
Michaela Hayes, who works at Miss Sixty, says she couldn't believe it when the 5ft 9in star strode over and punched her in the arm.
"They were filming in the centre and one of the production team came over and approached me about appearing in a scene," says 20-year-old Michaela.
"I'd been watching them because I recognised Janice Dickinson as one of the judges from America's Next Top Model and I went to school with Abbey
"We were at St Julie's in Woolton together, in the same year, but we didn't really get on. We had a bit of a scuffle when we were about 13 and I won. I think what happened was Abbey noticed it was me and told Janice she didn't want me used because
I'd bullied her. The next thing I knew, Janice came over to me and said 'How would you like it if I punched you?', hit me on the top of my arm and gave me a dead arm.
"I was gobsmacked and upset because it really hurt. Lots of people came over to the shop from the centre to see if I was OK because they'd seen what happened."
Michaela, from West Derby says she has been pursuing a modelling career herself recently, and believes it had stirred up old feelings of rivalry between her and her former classmate.
She says Janice did return to offer an apology for the punch. "She said 'I'm sorry for that, you're a beautiful girl and I shouldn't have done that.' But it didn't seem like it was a proper apology, more something she'd been told to do or felt she had to do."
The formidable, extensively surgically enhanced Ms Dickinson - currently fronting her own show The Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency - certainly has form for controversy.
In an interview following her decision to quit (or be fired, as she insists) from ANTM, she proudly claimed: "I'd rather be an honest bitch, than some ass-kissing, sugarcoating, namby-pamby motherf***er."
