I need my daily fix of the Mail; YourSay.

MY WIFE always says that I am a creature of habit and I suppose I am because, for the best part of 40 years, after my evening meal I settle in my armchair to read the Birmingham Mail from cover to cover.

Like most men who like their sport, I always start on the back page to read first about my favourite football team, Aston Villa, and then the rest of the teams in our area.

I enjoy the full diversity of news the paper offers, particularly the Your Shout sports column and the letters page, to which I have been a regular contributor over the years.

But, of all the paper's content, I must make a special reference to the Mail's cartoonist, Colin Whittock, who conjures the most humorous drawings and social comments through his work.

It takes a unique talent to maintain this continuous standard of excellence, day in, day out, and he is to be congratulated.

M Jones, Great Barr

Avid reader: We thank reader M Jones, who says he is a creature of habit and loves to read the Birmingham Mail from cover to cover every evening. "The last thing she said was 'I'm just going to check my Euro Lottery numbers ... !"
