I don't eat meat to be macho.

WHAT a load of codswallop from Jimmy Pierson of the Vegan Society.

I do not eat meat to be macho, it has nothing to do with what the rest of society thinks of me.

I eat and enjoy meat for the taste, what can beat the taste of a nice juicy steak? And I eat it for the nutritional value.

I realise that we can survive without eating meat; I love vegetables but have tried stuff like hummous, cous cous, chick peas and the like and I think they are just awful to taste.

I have even tried vegetarian beefburgers, sausages and sausage rolls, but they are not my cup of tea.

And what about the ladies who eat meat, are they eating it to be macho? I think not.
