I am going to miss my lovely Cold Feet wife: Nesbitt.

IRISH Cold Feet actor Jimmy Nesbitt has told of how he will miss co-star Helen Baxendale now that the series is finally over.

The Co Antrim man has been trying to keep a low profile after the public humiliation of being caught cheating on his wife with a legal secretary and with a former Miss Ireland.

With the second part of a four-part final Cold Feet drama on TV tonight, Nesbitt says he found his final Adam role easy because he is a real-life dad.

"Adam has matured. He is not bothered about what Rachel is doing, or chasing other women. All that confusion has gone. It's two people together, setting out in life with a child.

"That was lovely for Helen and myself, because we are both young parents.

"I've worked with Helen for six years now and I will miss her, although we don't see each other socially."

The Broughshane actor added: "Adam was always someone that people liked.

"Women like him. He is unthreatening and a bit of an eejit. But he has decency and vulnerability."

Nesbitt's private life indescretions didn't affect TV3's viewing figures last weekend - with hundreds of thousands of Irish fans tuning in for the programme.

Ironically actress Baxendale is to take up a new mantle - teaching young actors how to strip.

The week after she announced she was giving up acting following the last series of Cold Feet to concentrate on motherhood, she is to coach young actors in the delicate art of sex scenes.

The 34-year-old - who once had to 'romp' with Nesbitt in the window of an Oxfam shop for charity - will front a two-day workshop in London's Covent Garden teaching participants how best to handle "gratuitous exposure".
