I HAVE a degree [...].

Byline: KENDALL

? I HAVE a degree of sympathy for West Ham's plight with Andy Carroll's red card which they failed to get over-turned.

I saw a similarly dubious sending off for Cristiano Ronaldo last week.

What irritates me about these incidents is the play-acting of the supposed victim, who hits the deck and rolls around like they've been shot.

It's a trait I wouldn't normally associate with the English game but it's starting to be more prevalent and I have a real issue with it. How do you nip it in the bud? If the review panel decide to rescind the booking on the basis the other man was acting, then that player should then get the subsequent ban.

It would soon discourage those sorts of antics.
