I'm a fat Karloff says Tory Ann.

TORY heavyweight Ann Widdecombe has adopted the "Doris Karloff" nickname The Mirror gave her, she reveals in a remarkable TV profile in which she also cheerfully admits: "I'm fat and gone to seed."

We coined the Karloff tag when, as prisons minister, she defended the shackling of pregnant inmates. Miss Widdecombe says: "To this day I call myself Karloff develop a very hard skin." And she isn't worried by her image. "I think for most people it's a blessed relief that what they see is what they get," she claims on Sky News tomorrow.

On her fellow women MPs she says: "The fact that we have 101 is irrelevant.

"We might as well have 101 Dalmatians. People said it would be much more civilised - but in fact women are the worst hecklers."
