I'm 45...and you're 21 A-hA! Does that make comic Coogan a cougar? EXCLUSIVE.

Byline: Lewis Panther ; Alice Walker

tELLy comic Steve Coogan has pulled a gorgeous model 24 years his junior.

The star met elle Basey, 21, while he was guest editing Loaded magazine as geeky alter ego alan Partridge.

They did a photoshoot together - and friends say Steve, 45, and the former topless model hit it off immediately. Their friendship later turned into romance.

a source close to the pair said: "Steve and elle enjoy each other's company. They are taking things slowly but have a lot in common, despite the age difference.

Steve is a charming man and elle loves that about him."

coogan - as Partridge - posed with elle, looking gorgeous in black undies, stockings and suspenders, in the march issue of the mag.

The coverline read: "ah-haa! The comedy legend crowns elle our girl of 2011."

When the edition hit shelves, elle, from Watford, Herts, wrote on Twitter: "if you love alan Partridge as much as i do then check out this month's mag." Weeks later she tweeted: "Wish i was in nY right now." it's believed Steve was filming in the city at the time.

in June, the couple were pictured arm-in-arm at a London film premire.

and last month elle tweeted during a trip to new York. Referring to the glam undies shops, she said: "Victoria's Secret here i come." Steve splits his time between the US and Brighton, so he can be close to his 15-year-old daughter clare. He has previously said: "i've done a bit of shagging around in my time. i am getting older and a bit more sensible." coogan and elle declined to comment last night.
