I'M LIVING THE DREAM IN PRISON; HAMPDEN KILLER:: He updates with illegal phone.

Byline: janice Burns

A MANIAC who murdered a Scotland football fan has boasted he's "living the dream" behind bars.

Balding Brian Venuti, who calls himself the "Devil's son" on his Facebook site, posts sexually explicit and vile racist and bigoted rants from a mobile phone smuggled in to Addiewell prison in West Lothian.

Dad-of-two Venuti, 33, was jailed for life in 2004 for deliberately running over Liam Henderson near Hampden Park.

Judge Lord Bracadale told the vicious thug, from Rutherglen, Glasgow, he'd serve at least 15 years.

Now the killer is using an illegal mobile phone inside prison to boast on his Facebook page that he's "just here for a good time no a long time".

He also wrote "dont let the crown get ye down crime payz" along with "f*** the world and the penal system".

Venuti has posted hundreds of racist messages over the past two months including "gas the P****" in reference to Asians, as well as "Brian Venuti is batterin any prods who try n annoy him" and "hates the f***** polis".

On his profile page, porky Venuti shows three half-naked photos of himself and tells how he regularly works out in the gym.

He told friends he was hoping to get out on home leave and wrote: "Av only done 7 yr m8 a could be gettin leaves a week oot every month ats in bout 4 yr time m8."

Venuti also uses his mobile phone to exchange X-rated messages with girlfriends.

Liam died after Venuti got into an argument with Scotland fans before a Euro match against Holland in November 2003.

Coma As other supporters, including Liam, 23, and dad-of-two Robert Gaudie, 36, enjoyed a quiet drink outside the Cedar Bar near Hampden, Venuti bragged: "I'm going to knock one of them down."

He returned in his BMW, raced past the fans, then hurtled into them. Witnesses said the scene was like "ten pin bowling, bodies everywhere."

Liam was killed instantly. Robert was left in a coma for four weeks and suffered permanent brain damage.

The jury at the High Court in Glasgow took 90 minutes to find Venuti guilty of murdering Liam, of Newmachar, Aberdeenshire, and attempting to murder Robert.

Last night, a friend of Liam's family told the Record: "This is absolutely disgusting. It makes us sick to hear that he is enjoying himself in jail and is able to contact his family.

"He has never shown an inch of remorse for what he has done.

"Liam's family and friends and are still grieving. This is the last thing his parents need at this time of year."

Liam's parents John and Janice, who have set up a charity in memory of their son, were too upset to comment.

Last night, the Record reported the killer's Facebook site and mobile to the Scottish Prison Service.

A spokeswoman for Sodexo Justice Services - who run Addiewell - said: "If anyone was found to be using a mobile, appropriate action would be taken."
