Hyundai India, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company (KSE: 005380), is launching its Xcent compact sedan in the second week of March 2014 in India.

The vehicle is based on the Grand i10's platform and is a sub-four metre sedan. It is to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze. It is likely to be priced between INR500,000 to INR750,000.

The model looks similar to the Grand i10 and will be available with a choice of 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol and 1.1-litre U2 diesel. It features rear AC vents, a smart key with push button start, rear parking camera with sensors, 15 inches diamond cut alloy wheels, 2 DIN audio with USB, CD player with 1 GB internal memory, auto folding mirrors, electro-chromic mirror and one-touch electric boot opening.
