Hydrology and the management of watersheds, 4th ed.

Hydrology and the management of watersheds, 4th ed.

Brooks, Kenneth N. and Peter F. Ffolliott, Joseph A. Magner.

533 pages

Brooks (emeritus, forest hydrology) and Magner (bioproducts and biosystems engineering, both U. of Minnesota) and Ffolliott (emeritus, watershed management, U. of Arizona) have substantially revised and restructured the 2003 edition of their textbook for an introductory college course. The chapters on snow hydrology, water resources development and engineering applications, and hydrologic methods have been eliminated and the material integrated into other chapters. Resources on the Web are also cited. The basic concepts and fundamental aspects of hydrology and hydrologic processes remain, along with the methods and applications of the science. The 1991 and 1997 editions were published by Iowa State University Press.
