Hutchinson acquires UK and Commonwealth rights to Hillary Clinton's political biography.

Book news company Book2book reported on Wednesday that publishing company Hutchinson, an imprint of Cornerstone Publishing, part of The Random House Group Ltd, has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, to HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes.

The political biography of Clinton describes how she made a comeback to US politics and re-emerged as a powerful and influential figure, a formidable stateswoman and the presumed front-runner for the 2016 presidential nomination. Allen and Parnes carried out over two hundred top-access interviews with Hillary's intimates, colleagues, supporters and enemies to write the book, which portrays Clinton as a seasoned operator who negotiates political and diplomatic worlds with equal savvy. This portrait of the most important female politician in American history is said to be an essential look at the woman who could possibly be the next US president.

HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton will be published in hardback by Hutchinson on 27 February 2014.
