Hurt Sir gets hero's return; SCHOOL.

A HEADTEACHER left with horrific facial injuries after an alleged glass attack made an emotional return to school yesterday.

Kieran Heakin was greeted by cheering pupils and staff waving banners as he arrived at St John's RC Primary School, in Burnley, Lancs.

The 57-year-old had metal plates put into his head and face after the attack in a restaurant in February. He said: "I thank God I'm alive." Yesterday, prosecutors dropped proceedings against Jermaine Carl Bullen, 25, of Rochdale, who was charged with grievous bodily harm..
