Hurray for Huggies.

Hurray for Huggies

Although officials at the company are mum, the word is that Kimberly-Clark Corp. is planning to expand its Maumelle facility by 162,000 SF.

Why?

Babies must have their Huggie wipes.

Apparently, sales of the product are going so well that Kimberly-Clark must expand its Maumelle facility to meet demand.

We hear several contractors and designers already have been contacted.

"In September, at the dedication of our Maumelle facility, we said we hoped to expand," a Kimberly-Clark spokesman says. "But we're not ready to make an announcement at this time."

From what we've heard, they soon will.

Kimberly-Clark, based in Neenha, Wis., manufactures such products as Kleenex, Kotex and Huggies. Its largest Arkansas operation is in Conway, where Conway Mills employs more than 500 people.
