Hurling shoe at supreme leader of PML(N) condemned.

MALAKAND -- Former federal minister and leader of Pakistan Peoples' Party(PPP) Lal Muhmmad Khan has strongly condemned the hurling of shoes at former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif.

In a statement, he said that such attitudes revealed the height of intolerance prevalent in our society, adding there was a need to prevent such unethical practice in future.

He added that the PPP has always condemned slanderous acts which also threatened the security of politicians.

He said that shoes-throwing on politicians was tantamount to infringing upon their rights to address public rallies.

He said that our religion and culture advocated for giving respect to elders, so how one could be allowed to indulge in such shameful act brazenly.

He said that Pakistani people were patriotic nation, so they could not bear with such disgusting attitude, suggesting the leaders should play role to arrest the negative trend of hurling shoes at prominent leaders by educating their electoral college.

He also urged media to play its part in promoting tolerance and harmony among people for peaceful co-existence in society as such acts bring bad name to the country.
