Huntley woman killed in Bartlett crash Thursday.

Byline: Daily Herald report

Bartlett police said Friday they are continuing to investigate a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning that killed a 31-year-old Huntley woman. The DuPage County Coroner's Office identified the woman as Maritza Herrig.

Police said a 26-year-old man was driving a 2003 Peterbilt Model 379 tractor-trailer truck north on Route 59 that struck the 2016 Honda HR-V that Herrig was driving as it was making a left turn from southbound Route 59 onto eastbound Army Trail Road at about 11:26 a.m.

The truck driver stopped immediately and wasn't injured. Herrig died after being taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Police have not issued any citations. Anyone with information is asked to call (630) 837-0846.
