Hunt for driver after hit/run; INBRIEF.

A VOLVO driver knocked a man down on Yarm Lane, Stockton, before driving away from the scene, Cleveland Police have revealed. A 25-year-old man using the pedestrian crossing outside The Falchion pub was hit by the car at about 7.40pm on Thursday, July 2. The driver of the car, believed to be a Volvo, got out of the vehicle, before returning to his car and driving away from the scene. The man suffered a fractured leg and was taken to North Tees General Hospital. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who knows anything about the collision to contact PC Andrew Pitt on 01642 302226.
