Hunt for 'M-way crash' hoaxer.
Five fire engines, two ambulances and four police cars went to what they thought was the scene of a serious crash at 5.20pm, said to be between junctions nine and ten on the M42 in the north of the county.
They had been told people were trapped and spent time driving along the motorway trying to find the crash.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The whole thing kept us occupied for around two hours. We do get a lot of malicious false alarms but not like this."
