Hundreds line up for Fox & Fowle's latest pageturner.

Hundreds from the commercial real estate industry joined together at Arnold Hall in The New School University recently to celebrate the publication of Fox & Fowle Architects new monograph, a collection of 60 of the firm's recent projects.

Written by Kira L. Gould, published by Images Publishing and to be carded by Urban Center books, the 256-page book titled "Designing for the Built Realm" is part of The Master Architect Series VI, featuring the work of some of the world's leading architects and architectural firms.

This volume was published to mark Fox & Fowle Architects' twenty-sixth year as an industry leader in architecture, planning and urban design. It is an exploration of the firm's work and work process. The book details how the members of the firm work together to create some of the world's most celebrated designs.

In the preface, written by Thomas Fisher and entitled "Everything Flows", Mr. Fisher states: "Some architects have tried to express the wave-like quality of matter literally, with architecture that looks like frozen lava, although in doing so, they have created objects disconnected from the flow of life around them.

"Fox & Fowle Architects offers another way of thinking about the idea. Its work flows in various ways, sometimes visibly in the objects, materials, and forms it uses, and sometimes invisibly in the flow of relationships, energy, or information that its buildings enclose."

Bruce Fowle, co-founder of Fox & Fowle Architects, states in his introduction of the monograph; "This volume is an exploration of our work and our way of working. Almost every aspect of architecture and planning practice has changed in the last quarter century, yet some things about Fox & Fowle's way of working have remained consistent.

Through our special alchemy, we continue to strive to surpass our clients' aspirations and expectations while advancing the civic and environmental agenda of architecture. We are motivated by the process of finding innovative ways to connect the environment, context and culture."
