Company Supports Children's Foundation Through

Special Rebates On Award-Winning Children's CD-ROMs

Humongous Entertainment(R), a leading publisher of best-selling, award-winning children's entertainment products, today announced the donation of $228,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R), the largest wish-granting organization in the world. The donation was the result of a specially created holiday promotion appearing on 16 of Humongous Entertainment's popular children's CD-ROMs. More than 105,000 holiday consumers actively participated, making this the largest rebate program in the company's history. The funds generated by this program will support the Make-A-Wish Foundation in its efforts to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, providing moments of hope, strength and laughter for them and their families.

"Partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation is a natural extension of Humongous Entertainment's commitment to providing quality experiences to children," said Shelley Day, president and CEO, Humongous Entertainment. "The success of this program exceeded all expectations and we are thrilled to make such a substantial contribution to such a worthy cause."

"The outpouring of support by the fans of Humongous Entertainment is very touching and will go a long way in making dreams come true for many kids," said Paula Van Ness, president and CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.

Consumers participating in the holiday rebate program received $10 off the purchase of select Humongous Entertainment titles and then chose from two options: donate the full $10 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or donate $2 to the charity and receive $8 back. The promotion ran from November through December 1999.

"We strive to offer programs that not only give our customers a great value, but also the opportunity to support a good cause," said Mike Salvadore, director of marketing and business development, Humongous Entertainment. "The overwhelming results of the Make-A-Wish(R) holiday promotion proves that our consumers are extremely responsive to such a promotion and appreciate this option."

A sticker highlighting the program was placed on 16 of Humongous Entertainment's best-selling titles including Backyard Football(TM), Backyard Baseball(TM), Blue's Treasure Hunt(TM), Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch(TM), Putt-Putt(R) Enters the Race(TM), Pajama Sam(R) 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't So Frightening(TM), SPY Fox 2: Some Assembly Required(TM) and more. These CD-ROMs were featured in a special holiday display that was placed at participating national software retail outlets.
