Humble pie; Yourview.

LIKE RBS and HBOS, surely the fault lies in the bad management of the Dunfermline Building Society, not with the Government, who, after all, did not own or run the company.

As for the lack of interest by Whitehall mandarins, who is picking up the tab for its toxic assets? The Treasury, which means us, the taxpayers, of which I'm sure are some of those who protested.

Time to get things in perspective and a wee bit humble pie from the managers might not go amiss.
